Holbein Artist's Oil Colors - Holbein ranks
as one of the world's finest lines of professional oil colors. The
formulation of each color is modified individually to compensate for the inherent
differences in the working characteristics of pigments. The result is an even
consistency across the entire palette of color. Holbein maintains its quality standards
by test inspection of pigment purity, color tone, applicability and adhesion, physical
stability, light stability, thermo-stability, and anti-bacterial stability. Pigments are ground from three
to five times as necessary to achieve a universally consistent viscosity. The
manufacturing process in each of the preparation, mixing, grinding, adjustment, and filling
stages is monitored by reference to optimum quality standards. |

two high-strength V-wedges for joining the corners. Simply apply wood glue to
the ends of frame sections and insert the V-wedges into the slotted
corners of the joined frame sections. Make sure that the frame you
assemble is deep enough to handle your artwork. Standard 14-ply matboards are
approximately .054" to .058" thick, so a 3/8" deep frame easily accommodates
three layers of matboard, provided the artwork is not too thick. The
Honey Oak style has a depth of ¾", sufficient to fit standard
stretched canvases. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the
outside dimensions of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame.
The frame will overlap your artwork all the way around by about
¼", so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame molding. |
