Blick Student Grade Tempera is made with high-quality pigments, has high color
strength, is lightfast, and won't flake, chip, or crack. It washes up
with soap and water and is freeze-thaw stable. It has a consistent
viscosity for easy blending, stirs easily, then "bodies up" to its original
viscosity. Made with less filler and less water, it won't sag or
drip. For basic color mixing, we recommend using Turquoise, Magenta, and Yellow.

a Kolinksy Filbert "Cat's Tongue" in an oil painting format, with a
long wooden handle. The fine Kolinsky hair forms a soft tuft with
a snappy edge, great for delicate, controlled work. This "Cat's Tongue" shape
is popular among European painters. In comparison to the traditional almond-shaped filbert,
it provides more edges and surfaces. Depending how it's held, the brush
can be used for drawing fine lines, curves, and strokes, or for
filling in larger areas of color. Escoda's Kolinsky sable hair is unusually
resilient with superior snap, point, and flow control. Escoda takes great care
in curing brush hair to create a brush that will retain its
original shape over a long working life. This luxurious hair is artfully
crimped in a nickel-plated brass ferrule The long, lacquered blue wooden handle
